There are probably going to be a ton of typos and shit in this but nevermind.
I hope there are as little references to the other games in the new AA as possible and I hope they either actually end Phoenix’ era here or restrict his stories to those that happened between 2016 and 2019. It would’ve probably been best to end Phoenix’ era after Trials and Tribulation.
Apollo never really had the chance to develop a story as intense as Phoenix’ because he always stood in his shadow and does so even more because Capcom never had the courage to actually start a new era. It was painfully obvious in Dual Destinies that Phoenix can’t return to his former glory in court because his story has already been told, and his reappearance in AA4 wasn’t a good idea.
AAI is a good spinoff series because it gave Miles room to develop and show his personality outside of the courtroom and when he is not around any of the usual main characters and that was interesting and gave us a deeper insight of him than we ever had of Apollo.
Speaking of Apollo, why did he get such a tragic backstory all of sudden? He didn’t even have an actual backstory in his own game.
I’m just so angry at the series for fucking up so bad after the first three games, which were so great and had such amazing details and characters. I loved these games so dearly, if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have made it through middle school like I did, and they still mean that much to me. Then AA4 was released and it was fine, but that’s it. It wasn’t great, it had a lot of plotholes and seeing how some of the characters from the original games had changed was almost painful to see and seemed so disrespectful towards them and Dual Destinies did nothing to fix that.
And now there is another game announced and the fandom is going nuts and I’d like to join, but I’m still so dissappointed and angry and hate most of the fandom, but that’s not the point.
Just don’t fuck up this time, Capcom.
